Green Wednesday is Wednesday, November 25, 2026, the day before Thanksgiving. Jungle Kingdom Flower is open regular hours at both Brooklyn stores, 10am to 10pm, with same-day delivery across Brooklyn.
The night before Thanksgiving has become one of the biggest cannabis shopping days of the year. Whether you are hosting dinner, heading to a Friendsgiving, or just planning a quiet four-day weekend, Jungle Kingdom Flower in Bed-Stuy and East Williamsburg has you covered in store or with same-day delivery.
Green Wednesday 2026 deals go live in November. Until then, both stores run daily specials you can shop right now.
What Is Green Wednesday?
Green Wednesday is the cannabis industry's name for the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. The name is a nod to Black Friday, and the timing makes sense. Most people have Thursday and Friday off, many are traveling home or hosting family, and plenty of shoppers want to pick everything up before stores get busy for the holiday weekend.
For licensed dispensaries across the country, it is consistently one of the highest-volume days of the year, often compared to 420. In Brooklyn, that means longer lines in the evening and popular products selling out, so a little planning goes a long way.
Since New York legalized adult-use cannabis under the Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act in 2021, Green Wednesday has become part of the holiday routine for a lot of New Yorkers. Shopping at a licensed store like Jungle Kingdom Flower means lab-tested products, clear labeling, and staff who can help you pick something for every guest. Read more about the difference in our licensed vs. unlicensed dispensary guide.

What to Pick Up Before Thanksgiving
Green Wednesday deals change every year, and our 2026 lineup will be posted in November. In the meantime, here is what Brooklyn shoppers usually reach for before the holiday weekend.
Pre-Rolls for Sharing
Pre-rolls are the easiest way to bring something for the group. Multi-packs from brands like Old Pal and Runtz are made for passing around, and Jeeter infused pre-rolls are a favorite for a stronger option.
Edibles for Guests Who Do Not Smoke
Edibles from Kiva and Lost Farm work well for a more low-key holiday. Remember that edibles hit differently after a big meal. Start with 2.5 to 5 milligrams of THC and wait at least two hours before taking more. Our edibles guide covers the details.
Vapes for a Low-Key Night
A vape from STIIIZY or another favorite brand is a smell-light option if you are staying with family. Ask a budtender about strain profiles if you want something relaxing for after dinner.
Flower and Accessories
Stock up on flower for the long weekend, and grab papers, grinders, and storage from our accessories section. If you are shopping for someone else, our holiday cannabis gift guide has ideas at every price point.
Tips for Shopping Green Wednesday
Shop early in the day. Evenings before Thanksgiving are the busiest. Visiting or ordering before mid-afternoon gives you the best selection and the shortest wait.

Know the limits. Adults 21 and older in New York can purchase up to 3 ounces of cannabis flower or 24 grams of concentrated cannabis per transaction. See our purchase limits guide for the details.
Do not drive impaired. Thanksgiving week is one of the busiest travel times of the year. Never drive after consuming cannabis, and keep cannabis in New York. Taking it across state lines is illegal. Read our guide to NY driving laws.
Store it safely at home. If kids or pets will be around for the holiday, keep edibles in their original child-resistant packaging and out of reach.
