Crown Heights stretches across central Brooklyn with a rich cultural tapestry. Home to the Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and the annual West Indian Day Parade on Eastern Parkway, the neighborhood has deep Caribbean, Hasidic, and African American roots that give it a character unlike anywhere else in the city.
Franklin Avenue has emerged as a dining and nightlife corridor, while Nostrand Avenue and Utica Avenue remain the neighborhood's commercial anchors. Crown Heights is well-served by transit - the 2, 3, 4, 5 trains all run through the area, and Nostrand Avenue connects directly to Jungle Kingdom Flower in Bed-Stuy just to the north.
